I totally agree. I called Purolator today to see if my package was coming today because the website said left Toronto and it had been saying that for 3 days. The customer service rep said no, it would be comiing tomorrow. I went out for a bit and came back to a notice on my door saying they attempted delivery and I would have to pick it up at their depot tomorrow. The box is very large and probably won't fit in my car. I'm so angry!

I completely agree. I am really frustrated with Purolator at this point. I sent a package to Australia from Canada week before the deadline to mail my package. It takes only two days to mail something to Australia....

It took Purolator like 4 days to ACTUALLY mail out my package, and then 3 days to tell me that the package has an incorrect zip code.

It is now past the deadline and I know for sure that I provided the correct zip code... its not hard... its only FOUR NUMBERS.

So now, Im frustrated and will probably never use Purolator again.

I agree that the tracking info is limited, and frustrating when you're waiting for a package. I'm waiting for a laptop. The reason the tracking info is limited is because Purolator is a Canadian shipping company with no direct business outside Canada. They contract all their international shipments to DHL. So that is why people waiting for a shipment in Canada will only get details once the parcel enters Canada, and people shipping internationally will only have detailed info until the parcel is aboard a DHL aircraft in Toronto or Calgary. Then they will only get confirmation once the package is delivered. As for FedEx and UPS, well they're both International companies with their own worldwide distribution centers and fleets. So a package scanned in Canada or US would have the same label scanned into the same system anywhere else in the world.

Yup. I totally agree.

Really what is the freking point of even having a "tracking" website in the first place?

In this day and age - I can find out within about 3 minutes difference, where over N. America, an Air "Can'tada" flight is using a flight tracker. I can locate myself sitting in a car on a map with a Canadian Tire GPS gadget. I can do damned near anything, yet when I go to Purolator I get the same USELESS information!

I'm so with you on that.

Fed Ex is not a whole lot better but at least you know that it's sitting in customs, has been cleared, or has crossed the border, at the regional office, etc.

Purolator sucks, has always sucked, and will continue to suck.

Pick FedEx if you ever can!

Cheers
